Our CNC Machining Capabilities

CNC machining at Komaspec is not a standalone service. Every part we machine is designed to move directly into sub-assembly or final product assembly — without leaving our facility. This means you get a finished, ready-to-install product under a single contract, not a box of precision parts you still need to manage.

Our in-house services cover precision milling and turning, producing a wide range of geometries at tight tolerances.

This setup has the depth to produce multi-feature components and complex assemblies at any volume, without managing extra suppliers.

CNC Milling

3 and multi-axis CNC machining for versatile production of complex geometries that cannot be efficiently made by casting, forging, or turning. This includes slots, pockets, chamfers, threads, complex curved surfaces, and similar features, produced consistently across medium-to-high volume runs.

  • Slots
  • Pockets
  • Holes
  • Chamfers
  • Threads
  • Contoured surfaces

CNC Turning

A precise process to make cylindrical geometries, like bushings, cams, shafts, pins, and connectors. Our machines feature automated bar feeding for faster turnarounds and minimal downtime.

  • Bushings
  • Shafts
  • Pins
  • Connectors
  • Threaded components

Are Our CNC Machining Services Right for Your Product?

CNC machining is a subtractive process where a cutting tool removes material from a solid block following a predefined program. The result is a precise component that can be reproduced with minimal variation across low-to-high volume runs — and at Komaspec, machined components move directly into sub-assembly or final product assembly without leaving the facility.

Unlike casting or injection molding, CNC machining requires minimal tooling investment. This makes it one of the most efficient routes to produce metal components for complex assemblies.

Another key benefit is the economy of scale, as the process is fast to repeat and consistent across batches, which means unit costs come down as volume goes up.

CNC machining is a strong fit when:

  • Your design requires tight dimensional tolerances that casting or 3D printing cannot hold consistently.
  • Your design requires certain materials that aren't easily cast, forged, or molded.
  • Your product contains machined components that need to be sourced, coordinated, and assembled into a finished product under a single contract or within 1 supplier.
  • Components or component for your product require additional fine machining or features added after initial casting, forging or injection processes are done.

Material selection is driven by what the finished product requires. Komaspec works across a broad range of alloys to meet your specifications for mechanical performance, operating environment, weight targets, and more.

  • Hot Rolled Steel – #20, Q235, Q275, Q355
  • Aluminum – AL6061 T6, AL7075 T6
  • Stainless Steel – SS304, SS316, SS316L
  • Engineering Support – Upon request, we can also machine titanium, brass, rigid plastics, and other materials. Contact our engineering team and we can discuss the best choices for your project.

Surface Finishes

The right finish influences how finished products hold up against corrosion, wear and the kind of surface degradation that shows up years down the line. In many cases, it can greatly improve its appearance too.

Finish Typical use case
As-machined Functional parts, internal components
Bead blasting Uniform matte surface, pre-coating prep
Anodization Aluminum corrosion resistance, aesthetics
Hard Anodization High-wear aluminum parts
Chromate Aluminum corrosion protection, electrical grounding
Zinc plating Steel corrosion protection
Passivation Stainless steel surface treatment
E-coating Corrosion protection on complex geometries
Powder coating Durable exterior finish

Why Choose Komaspec for CNC Machining

Komaspec is the chosen manufacturing partner of 150+ returning clients worldwide. That's because every project benefits from rigorous quality control, an international team across three continents, and 20+ years of experience in metal fabrication.

Behind that setup is a vertical manufacturing integration and Industry 4.0 facilities that allow us to tackle the full scope of a project, without handing off to another supplier at any stage. This results in high-quality finished products delivered promptly and economically, even for larger, complex orders.

Direct Access To The Factory

Your order goes straight to our own facilities in Vietnam and China. This means no subcontractors, tighter cost control, and full visibility of who is producing your product.

Built For International Clients

Komaspec is Canadian-owned with Western project managers working directly inside our Asian facilities. You get clear responses, without the language barrier and back-and-forth that typically slows overseas manufacturing down.

Smart Manufacturing

Our facilities run on real-time data. As soon as you upload your file, you can track the progress of your project's fabrication. Every data point is integrated into a single digital system that gives you visibility at any point.

Engineering, Project Management, and Design Support From The Start

Design review, DFM feedback, production oversight, logistics and shipment coordination are all covered by our team.

Complementary Fabrication Processes Available

Komaspec runs die casting, tube and pipe processing, sheet metal fabrication, stamping, plastic injection, laser cutting, and more alongside CNC machining. Whatever the product requires is sourced, produced, and quality-checked by us.

Full Assembly Capability

Komaspec takes the project from designs and raw materials to a tested, shipment-ready product. Machined components fit directly into sub-assembly or full product assembly without leaving the facility.

Contract Manufacturing For Complex Projects

Raw material procurement, fabrication, quality control, and delivery are all managed by Komaspec. This end-to-end approach gives better control over the product’s quality,  and a faster time-to-market.

Rigorous Quality Control

Our dedicated quality management team monitors every key production stage. You can follow each quality process, from raw material intake to the final inspection, and every order comes with all the relevant quality documentation.

FAQS

Answers to common questions about our contract manufacturing and assembly services in China.

The main advantages of CNC machining are its precision, repeatability and flexibility. It holds tight tolerances, can produce complex geometries, and works with many production-grade materials.

However, the process has clear disadvantages. Large or highly complex geometries require longer cycle times, and certain design features (e.g. very deep cavities, undercuts) are challenging to machine.

Our team will recommend the most suitable facility for your project, depending on the shipping, transit time, tariff implications, and cost requirements of your project.

You can learn more about our facilities at the links below:

- Komaspec Vietnam Facility

- Komaspec China Facility

Both are well equipped for contract manufacturing services, and for global delivery.

Yes, DFM review is a standard practice at Komaspec. We can help you with design for cost reduction, error proofing, product design localization, and product reliability.

Komaspec is a vertically integrated manufacturer. Other than CNC milling, and turning, we offer CNC bending, laser cutting, stamping, tube fabrication, welding, and plastic injection molding, as well as product assembly services.

Komaspec specializes in high-mix, medium-to-high-volume manufacturing. We are set up for production with flexible order quantities and shorter lead times than most contract manufacturers.
